In 2005, Shelters for Israel stepped in to help modernize and refurbish the Kiryat Ekron Cultural Center by funding the renovation of the auditorium. The Kiryat Ekron Cultural Center, built in 1980, enriches the lives of the city’s residents through a wide range of a events and social activities. But after years of use, the Center desperately needed renovations. With the Shelter investment, the rejuvenated Center operates a day care center and after-school program for youth as well as providing a variety of classes in art, dance, music, drama and fitness. The Center also offers social clubs for all ages and hosts a variety of lectures, workshops and special events.
