Patients Support each other (and hold signs with their ages)

Shelters for Israel will sponsor a coordinator for two years with Stop Cancer/Halasartan to provide important support for young cancer patients ages 18-45. This coordinator will be based in Rambam Hospital in Haifa, and with your generosity, we hope to add an additional two year commitment for a coordinator at Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva, Israel as well as at other hospitals. During this time of Covid-19, these young cancer patients are especially alone and lonely, as they are not allowed to bring anyone with them into the Oncology centers; they face their diagnoses, their meetings, and their treatments alone. The coordinator is based at the hospital and in addition to
accompanying them, helps to connect them with others in their situation, provides
psychological and medical support and so much more.
